YouTube Ads

Create YouTube Video Action campaigns straight from chat — SyncMetrics builds the campaign, ad group and responsive video ad from videos already on YouTube. Every campaign is created PAUSED for you to review and enable in Google Ads.

Prerequisites

  • A Google Ads account connected on your dashboard
  • The video(s) uploaded to a YouTube channel, set to Public or Unlisted (not Private) and embeddable
  • Conversion tracking configured — Video Action campaigns use Maximize-conversions bidding
  • A landing-page URL and, optionally, a square logo image URL

Video requirements

A responsive video ad combines your text assets with the video and an optional logo.

If you don't supply a long headline, SyncMetrics reuses your first headline (trimmed to 90 characters) — Video Action ads require at least one.

Creation workflow

  1. Ask Claude to create a YouTube campaign and give it the video URL(s), landing page, budget and target country.
  2. SyncMetrics drafts the ad and calls create_google_video_campaign without confirm — you get a full preview and nothing is created.
  3. Review the preview, then say yes. SyncMetrics calls again with confirm=true.
  4. The campaign is created PAUSED. Open the returned Google Ads link, review it, and enable it there.

Bidding

Video Action campaigns use Maximize conversions bidding, so make sure conversion tracking is live before you enable the campaign. Check it with get_google_conversion_actions.

Budget guidelines

Set a realistic daily budget for video — Google recommends enough for at least 10–15 views per day while learning. You can raise it later with update_google_campaign_budget.
