Prerequisites

  • A Google Ads account (or MCC) with at least read access
  • The Google Ads connection authorized on your dashboard
  • Claude (or another MCP client), or the Data Studio connector

Connecting Google Ads

  1. On your dashboard, click Connect with Google and grant access.
  2. Add the account(s) to report on. Child accounts under an MCC are listed individually.
  3. In Claude, add https://mcp.syncmetrics.io and sign in with the same account.

Campaign creation & management

SyncMetrics can build and manage campaigns for you — not just report on them. Every change that could spend money is preview-first and campaigns are always created PAUSED, so you review and enable them in Google Ads yourself.

Safety model. Creation tools require a two-step call: first a full preview (nothing is created), then the same call with confirm=true. Budget increases and enabling a campaign also require confirmation. Actions that only reduce spend — pausing, adding negatives — apply directly.
